Firstly, stop so you can assess your position better by looking in the door mirrors. The next thing you will need to do is take a shunt forwards to create some space, so when you go back into reverse you can adjust the steering sooner. Lastly, don’t forget to keep up all round observations throughout the manoeuvre.

The best way for us to gauge how many driving lessons you might need to pass your test would be to see you. Have you heard of our assessment lesson? This is a special 2-hour lesson for learners who have had driving experience and want to assess where they are at with being ready to take their driving test. One of our highly-trained driveJohnson's driving instructors will ask some questions, find out about your strengths and weaknesses, then do an assessment drive. If you would like to, they could even do a mock driving test. The instructor will then give you feedback on how you did and any areas they think you could work on.
This would be a fantastic way for you to find out how many driving lessons you might need to be test-ready. It is also a great way to see how our driveJohnson's driving instructor teaches, should you be considering moving over from another driving school or instructor. Our learner drivers often ask if they can start their driving lessons from one place and then be dropped off afterwards in another location. This is entirely possible as driveJohnson's has a network of driving instructors in that area that offer driving lessons in Tonypandy, Pentre and Treorchy. Our bookings team just need to be informed when you book your driving lessons so that it can be arranged for you.
In terms of having your driving lessons before work, we are pleased to be able to advise that we do have driving instructors in the area that start early from 7am.
